- Description : Visiting Brother Johannes Loretz said in his report of 1784 (found by Peter Stein) that all Moravian brothers agree that brother Auerbach had the best command of the creole language (Negerhollands). He must mean the creole language as spoken by the slaves, as in the same report he discusses that the bible translations made by Auerbach are the only ones that can be understood by the slave population, without having to be reworked.
